ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

We are accepting abstracts for posters on educational themes, case reports, audit, research and quality improvement. There will be a prize for the best as adjudicated by judges on the day.

 

Abstracts should be 250 words or less, and have the following headings:

  • Background - a description of the work, why it is important and any previous work undertaken.

  • Standards (for audits) - the local or national standards which are applicable to your audit.

  • Methods - how you undertook the work.

  • Results (not applicable for case reports).

  • Conclusions/Recommendations (or learning points for case reports).

  • Take home message.

 

Your abstract should:

  • Have a succinct title which gives an overview of the project scope.

  • Include the names of all authors, their grades and where the work was carried out.

  • Be 250 words or less (excluding references, but including tables, captions, author names & positions).

  • Be formatted in Arial size 12 with a blank line between paragraphs.

  • Be in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx)
